It's been a fantastic weekend of learning with Philip Shelley, who runs the C4 Screenwriting course, on his intensive TV writing course.

This year has seen my play SIXTEEN shortlisted for the Bolton Octagon's Duologues prize, and myself shortlisted for the Hightide Commissions and more recently the Papatango Playwriting Residency.

This year has begun with a number of projects which need to be re-written before I can move onto all the exciting new ideas I have! Watch this space for announcements about performances coming later in the year.

I'm incredibly excited to be working with a really exciting director and two brilliant producers on my first full length production, TBC in 2017. I am also working with an exciting team on a new webseries.

Great news, I've just found out my play, SIXTEEN, was longlisted for the Papatango Prize 2016.

All is going well for my play, RÓISÍN, which will be performed on September 4th and 5th at the Old Red Lion Theatre, as part of their Rooftop Sessions. More info on it here.

So I am back from Dublin and SNAPDRAGON went very well. Ronan Phelan did a fantastic job directing, and the cast, Sarah Madigan and Jane Brennan did a wonderful job.

There are some photos from the dress here:

I'm also excited to announce that I've been commissioned to write a short play by the Old Red Lion which will be performed as part of the Rooftop Sessions. More info here.

I'm thrilled to finally be able to announce that my play, SNAPDRAGON, which was commissioned by the Abbey Theatre, Dublin, will play in the Peacock in July.

Deadline this Friday for the Royal Court's invitation group, so it's full steam ahead. Also, some exciting news which I can finally announce tomorrow!

Pleased to say that the Miniaturists last month went well and I am now extending my short play 'Poultry' into a full length play.

Working hard towards a deadline at the end of this month, more to be revealed on that in due course. What I can say though is that I've been invited to take part in a writer's group at the Royal Court starting in April, led by E.V Crowe, which should be really exciting.

2016 is well under way now and it's been a busy few months. Between short play nights, the vaults, working on my commission and re-writing various projects there's not been much spare time. Watch this space for the various exciting things to come see in the second half of 2016.

Happy new year to all! 2016 has some really exciting stuff in store which I can't wait to share. There's one big project I can't announce yet but I'm particularly looking forward to.

In the meantime, my short play 'The Proposal' is being performed on January 24th at the Southwark Playhouse. It's a short play which was inspired by a news article I read about gender based abortions. I wanted to think about how you would even broach the idea as a couple or parent, and what our expectations are when we're planning a family.

On 31st January I'll be taking part in the Daily Plays, produced by Etch Theatre and Squint Theatre companies, at the Pleasance Theatre, Islington. These are short plays written in twelve hours in response to a news story that day.

Finally, in February I'll be directing a piece for PLAY at the Vault Festival, working with the lovely Jon Barton to create something new for the stage in only two weeks. Links to all of these events are here:

Really exciting news this week about something for next year! Watch this space!

So the workshop at the Abbey of "Catcall" went wonderfully, with a brilliant cast, the literary manager and director all there helping shape the play and throw out ideas. Lots to think about for the rewrite!

Just got the dates through for the workshop of my play, "Catcall" at the Abbey Theatre later this autumn, really looking forward to getting a director and casts' perspective on it!
